Life may fail to be perfect, but it never fails to be beautiful.
Always find a reason to laugh. It may not add years to your life but will surely add life to your years.
I am perfect in my imperfection, happy in my pain, strong in my weakness and beautiful in my own way, because God is on my side!
When someone is so sweet to you, don't expect that they will be like that all the time...because even the sweetest chocolate also expires.
When life is sweet, say thank you and celebrate. When life is bitter, say thank you and grow. - Shauna Niequist
When you wish good for others, good things come back to you.
Life is boring if you don't laugh, joke around and be a little crazy every now and then. At the end of the day it's about being happy.
Sometimes it feels so good to just sit by yourself, relax and not talk to anyone. - Kristen Butler
We don't talk about trees getting older...we say they are 'growing'.
Let's use the same language for ourselves...we're not getting older, we are 'growing'.
That's the spirit of living.
This is a blog to post the meaningful messages I gathered from emails, forwarded messages or anywhere else which I have stored over the years. Take note that I do not write them on my own - just merely copying and posting them up here. Enjoy! =)

Life is Like a Cup of Coffee
A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor. Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life.
Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups - porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to the coffee.
When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: "If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups have been taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress."
"Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee. In most cases it is just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink. What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups... And then you began eyeing each other's cups."
"Now consider this: Life is the coffee; the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, and the type of cup we have does not define, nor change the quality of life we live."
"Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee. Savor the coffee, not the cups!"

Think & Act
If you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it.
If you don't ask, the answer is always no.
If you don't step forward, you're always in the same place.
People need to learn that their actions do affect other people. So be careful what you say and do, it's not always just about you.
Before you act, listen.
Before you react, think.
Before you spend, earn.
Before you criticise, wait.
Before you pray, forgive.
Before you quit, try.
- Ernest Hemingway

My Wish
After dinner, a teacher started checking homework done by the students. Her husband is strolling around with a smart phone playing his favourite game 'Candy Crush Saga'.
When reading the last note, the wife starts crying with silent tears.
Her husband saw this and asked, 'Why are you crying dear? What happened?'
Wife: 'Yesterday I gave homework to my Standard 1 students, to write something on the topic ''My Wish''.'
Husband: 'OK, but why are you crying?'
Wife: 'Today while checking the last note, it makes me cry.'
Husband curiously asked, 'What's written in the note that makes you cry?'
Wife: 'Listen to this..
My wish is to become a smart phone. My parents love smart phone very much. They care about smart phone so much that sometimes they forget to care about me. When my father comes home from office, he has time for smart phone but not for me.
When my parents are doing some important work and smart phone is ringing, within single ring they attend to the phone, but not me... even if I am crying.
They play games on their smart phones and not with me. When they are talking to someone on their smart phone, they never listen to me even if I am telling something important.
So, my wish is to become a smart phone.'
After listening to the note the husband got emotional and asked the wife, 'Who wrote this?'
Wife: 'Our son.'
Gadgets are beneficial, but they are for our ease, not to cease the love among our family and loved ones.
Children see and feel everything about what happens with and around them. Things get imprinted on their mind with an everlasting effect. Let's take due care, so that they do not grow with any false impressions.

Life is a Train Journey
Life is like a journey on a train...
with its stations..
with changes of routes...
and with accidents!
We board this train when we are born and our parents are the ones who get our ticket.
We believe they will always travel on this train with us.
However, at some station our parents will get off the train, leaving us alone on this journey.
As time goes by, other passengers will board the train, many of whom will be significant - our siblings, friends, children, and even the love of our life.
Many will get off during the journey and leave a permanent vacuum in our lives.
Many will go so unnoticed that we won't even know when they vacated their seats and got off the train!
This train ride will be full of joy, sorrow, fantasy, expectations, hellos, good-byes, and farewells.
A good journey is helping, loving, having a good relationship will all co passengers... and making sure that we give our best to make their journey comfortable.
The mystery of this fabulous journey is: We do not know at which station we ourselves are going to get off.
So, we must live in the best way - adjust, forget, forgive and offer the best of what we have.
Thank you for being one of the important passengers on my train... "Wishing all my passengers a nice day and blessed New Year 2016!"
