Just because you see your friends travelling, buying a new home, owning a brand new car, getting married and having babies doesn't mean your life is not going as planned. I could not emphasize enough the quote, "Life is not a race. Live at your own pace." Focus! Be patient! Not everything needs to happen all at once. Compete with yourself and not with others. It's okay to get tired but never give up. Rest and pray instead.
To my friends who think their life is going as planned, be humble! Our Dean back in nursing school once said, "Stay humble. Remember when you go outside, you're just like everyone else." Also, be careful with greed. Money is not the root of evil, but the love for money is. Some poor people are rich because they are content. Some rich people are poor because they are never satisfied. Success is measured by how much blessings you've shared and how many people you've helped. Always remind yourself that the ultimate goal is to be happy. Smile, life is beautiful.

This should be posted in all schools and work places
Love him or hate him, he sure hits the nail on the head with this! Bill Gates recently gave a speech at a high school about 11 things they did not and will not learn in school. He talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world.
Rule 1: Life is not fair - get used to it!
Rule 2: The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.
Rule 3: You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.
Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.
Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your grandparents had a different world for burger flipping: they called it opportunity.
Rule 6: If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.
Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent's generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.
Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.
Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time.
Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.
Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.

Something to think about everyday
Sometimes you are unsatisfied with your life, while many people in this world are dreaming of living your life...
A child on a farm sees a plane fly overhead and dreams of flying. But, a pilot on the plane sees the farmhouse and dreams of returning home.
That's life! Enjoy yours... If wealth is the secret to happiness, then the rich should be dancing on the streets. But only poor kids do that.
If power ensures security, then officials should walk unguarded. But those who live simply, sleep soundly.
If beauty and fame bring ideal relationships, then celebrities should have the best marriages.
Live simply. Walk humbly and love genuinely... All good will come back to you.

Thoughts...
Unexpected results and problems are part of life. Never lose hope in any condition, because darkness of night always ends with light of the day.
Surround yourself with people who know your worth. You don't need too many people to be happy, just a few real ones who appreciate you for exactly who you are.
The best things in life are not things. It's the people who make you feel loved and cared for.
Before you speak, let your words pass through three gates:
Is it true?
Is it necessary?
Is it kind?
A moment of patience in a moment of anger saves a thousand moments of regret.
There is nothing called darkness, it's just absence of light. Similarly, there is nothing called problem, it's just absence of idea to find solution.
Sometimes we just need someone who is like a pencil with an eraser, to write happiness, and erase all the sadness.
A satisfied life is better than a successful life. Because our success is measured by others, but our satisfaction is measured by our own soul, mind and heart.
Power and money are fruits of life, but family and friends are roots of life.
We can manage without fruits but can never stand without roots.
Don't miss the chances that life is giving you to spend with the people you love. Remember, there are no rewinds.

So appreciate who and what you have in your life. Be a blessing. Encourage someone. Take time to care. Love with all your heart. And never take anyone or anything for granted.

When there is no envy, jealousy, and comparison within you, you can focus your full capabilities on doing what is needed.

The beauty of the morning, is not in the freshness of the atmosphere. It is in the freshness of our thoughts and feelings and how we wish to start our day.
Life and time are world's two teachers. Life teaches us to make good use of time, while time teaches us the value of life.
Everyone is trying to find the right person, but nobody is trying to be the right person.
The older I get, the more I realise I just need the simple things in life: a comfy home, good food on the table and surrounded by the people I love.
Best lesson of life is listen to everyone, and learn from everyone, because nobody knows everything and everyone knows something.

Everything in life is temporary.
So if things are going good, enjoy it because it won't last forever.
If things are going bad, don't worry, it can't last forever either.
Nothing is permanent.
Don't stress yourself too much because no matter how bad the situation is...it will change.
The only people who truly deserve to be in your life are those that treat you with love, kindness and respect.
