Destiny of Life

Long ago, there was an Emperor who told his horseman that if he could ride on his horse and cover as much land area as he liked, then the Emperor would give him the area of land he had covered.

Sure enough, the horseman quickly jumped onto his horse and rode as fast as possible to cover as much land area as he could. He kept on riding and riding, whipping the horse to go as fast as possible. When he was hungry or tired, he did not stop because he wanted to cover as much area as possible.

Came to a point when he had covered a substantial area and he was exhausted and was dying. Then he asked himself, 'Why did I push myself so hard to cover so much land area? Now I am dying and I only need a very small area to bury myself.'

The above journey is similar to the journey of our life. We push very hard everyday to make more money, to gain power and cognition. We neglect our health, time with our family and time to appreciate the surrounding beauty and the hobbies we love.

One day when we look back, we will realize that we don't really need that much, but then we cannot turn back time for what we have missed. Life is not about making money, acquiring power or recognition.

Life is definitely not about work! Work is only necessary to keep us living so as to enjoy the beauty and pleasures of life. Life is a balance of work and play, family and personal time.

You have to decide how you want to balance your life. Define your priorities, realize what you are able to compromise but always let some of your decisions be based on your instincts. Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of life, the whole aim of human existence. So, take it easy, do what you want to do and appreciate nature. Life is fragile, life is short. Do not take life for granted. Live a balanced lifestyle and enjoy life!

Watch your thoughts - they become words.
Watch your words - they become actions.
Watch your actions - they become habits.
Watch your habits - they become character.
Watch your character - it becomes your destiny.

Some thoughts that change LIFE

Anger is a condition in which the tongue works faster than the mind.

You can't change the past, but you can ruin the present by worrying over the future!

Love...and you shall be loved.

God always gives His best to those who leave the choice with Him.

All people smile in the same language.

Everyone needs to be loved...especially when they do not deserve it.

The real measure of a man's wealth is what he has invested in eternity.

Laughter is God's sunshine.

Everyone has beauty but not everyone sees it.

It's important for parents to live the same things they teach.

Thank God for what you have, trust God for what you need.

If you fill your heart with regrets of yesterday and the worries of tomorrow, you have no today to be thankful for.

Man looks at outward appearance but God looks within.

The choice you make today will usually affect tomorrow.

Take time to laugh, for it is the music of the soul.

Patience is the ability to idle your motor when you feel like stripping your gears.

Love is strengthened by working through conflicts together.

Harsh words break no bones but they do break hearts.

To get out of a difficulty, one usually must go through it.

We take for granted the things that we should be giving thanks for.

Love is the only thing that can be divided without being diminished.

Happiness is enhanced by others but does not depend upon others.

For every minute you are angry with someone, you lose 60 seconds of happiness that you can never get back.

Do what you can, for who you can, with what you have, and where you are.

Sometimes the road of life may seem a bit bumpy; but it's just a small part of the great journey you're on!

Life is a succession of lessons which must be lived to be understood.

If you don't like something, change it; if you can't change it, change the way you think about it.

To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow.

People are lonely because they build walls instead of bridges.

Sometimes the littlest things in life can make your whole world change.

Happiness is a choice that requires effort at times.

The most beautiful things in the world must be seen from the heart.

Believe in Love, Life, and Yourself.

Cast the gift of a lovely thought into the heart of a friend.

May you hear God's voice in your heart, know His touch in your life, and feel His love each day.

Life is too short

Grudges are a waste of perfect happiness

Laugh when you can

Apologize when you should

and let go of what you can't change

Love deeply and forgive quickly

Take chance, give everything

and have no regrets..Life's too short to be unhappy.

You have to take good with the bad

Smile when you're sad

Love what you got..

and always remember what you had.

Always forgive, never forget

Learn from your mistakes, but never regret.

Life is like a puzzle

Life is like a puzzle.

Sometimes you may come across pieces that just don't fit,

it doesn't mean you give up and walk away.

You stay focused and try to build on what you have,

until you've built the perfect picture.

Never give up, never surrender.

Opposites

If you want something you never had,
do something you have never done.

Don't go the way life takes you.
Take the life the way you go.

And remember you are born to live and
not living because you are born.

Always appreciate and love your mother

When you were 1 year old, she fed you and bathed you.
You thanked her by crying all night long.

When you were 2 years old, she taught you to walk.
You thanked her by running away when she called.

When you were 3 years old, she made all your meals with love.
You thanked her by tossing your plate on the floor.

When you were 4 years old, she gave you some crayons.
You thanked her by colouring the dining room table.

When you were 8 years old, she handed you an ice-cream.
You thanked her by dripping it all over your lap.

When you were 9 years old, she paid for piano lessons.
You thanked her by never even bothering to practice.

When you were 10 years old, she drove you all day, from soccer to gymnastic to one birthday party after another.
You thanked her by jumping out of the car and never looking back.

When you were 11 years old, she took you and your friends to the movies.
You thanked her by asking to sit in a different row.

When you were 12 years old, she warned you not to watch certain TV shows.
You thanked her by waiting until she left the house.

When you were 13 years old, she suggested a haircut.
You thanked her by telling her she had no taste.

When you were 14 years old, she paid for a month away at summer camp.
You thanked her by forgetting to write a single letter.

When you were 15 years old, she came home from work, looking for a hug.
You thanked her by having your bedroom door locked.

When you were 16, she taught you how to drive her car.
You thanked her by taking it every chance you could.

When you were 17, she was expecting an important call.
You thanked her by being on the phone all night.

When you were 18, she cried at your high school graduation.
You thanked her by staying out partying until dawn.

When you were 19, she paid for your college tuition, drove you to campus, carried your bags.
You thanked her by saying goodbye outside the dorm so you wouldn't be embarrassed in front of your friends.

When you were 20, she asked whether you were seeing anyone.
You thanked her by saying, "It's none of your business."

When you were 21, she suggested certain careers for your future.
You thanked her by saying, "I don't want to be like you."

When you were 22, she hugged you at your college graduation.
You thanked her by asking whether she could pay for a trip to Europe.

When you were 23, she gave you furniture for your first apartment.
You thanked her by telling your friends it was ugly.

When you were 24, she met your fiance and asked about your plans for the future.
You thanked her by glaring and growling, "Muuhh-ther, please!"

When you were 25, she helped to pay for your wedding, and she cried and told you how deeply she loved you.
You thanked her by moving halfway across the country.

When you were 30, she called with some advice on the baby.
You thanked her by telling her, "Things are different now."

When you were 40, she called to remind you of a relative's birthday.
You thanked her by saying you were "really busy right now."

When you were 50, she fell ill and needed you to take care of her.
You thanked her by reading about the burden parents become to their children.

And then, one day, she quietly died. And everything you never did came crashing down like thunder on your HEART.

IF SHE'S STILL AROUND, NEVER FORGET TO LOVE HER MORE THAN EVER...
AND IF SHE'S NOT, REMEMBER HER UNCONDITIONAL LOVE AND PASS IT ON...
ALWAYS REMEMBER TO LOVE THY MOTHER, BECAUSE YOU ONLY HAVE ONE MOTHER IN YOUR LIFETIME!!!

How to be happy =)

  1. Make up your mind to be happy. Learn to find pleasure in simple things.
  2. Make the best of your circumstances. No one has everything, and everyone has something of sorrow intemingled with gladness of life. The trick is to make the laughter outweigh the tears.
  3. Don't take yourself too seriously. Don't think that you should be protected from misfortune that befalls other people.
  4. You can't please everybody. Don't let criticism worry you.
  5. Don't let your neighbour set your standards. Be yourself.
  6. Do the things you enjoy doing but stay out of debt.
  7. Never borrow trouble. Imaginary things are harder to bear than real ones.
  8. Since hate poisons the soul, do not cherish jealousy. Avoid people who make you unhappy.
  9. Have many interests. If you can't travel, read about new places.
  10. Don't hold postmortems. Don't spend your time brooding over sorrows or mistakes. Don't be one who never gets over things.
  11. Do what you can for those less fortunate than yourself.
  12. Keep busy at something. A busy person never has time to be unhappy.
