Be Contented
Just because you see your friends travelling, buying a new home, owning a brand new car, getting married and having babies doesn't mean your life is not going as planned. I could not emphasize enough the quote, "Life is not a race. Live at your own pace." Focus! Be patient! Not everything needs to happen all at once. Compete with yourself and not with others. It's okay to get tired but never give up. Rest and pray instead.
To my friends who think their life is going as planned, be humble! Our Dean back in nursing school once said, "Stay humble. Remember when you go outside, you're just like everyone else." Also, be careful with greed. Money is not the root of evil, but the love for money is. Some poor people are rich because they are content. Some rich people are poor because they are never satisfied. Success is measured by how much blessings you've shared and how many people you've helped. Always remind yourself that the ultimate goal is to be happy. Smile, life is beautiful.
