From attitude to success

Attitude
Attitude is a little thing that makes a BIG difference.

Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadows.

Attack every problem with enthusiasm...as if your survival depended upon it.

Attitudes are contagious...is yours worth catching?

Challenges
Anyone can hold the helm when the sea is calm.

Change
If you are not riding the wave of change...you will find yourself beneath it.

A bend in the road is not the end of the road...unless you fail to make the turn.

Momentum
A little push in the right direction can make a big difference.

Opportunity
There is an island of opportunity in the middle of every difficulty.

Risk
You cannot discover new oceans unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore.

Success
Some people dream of success...while others wake up and work hard at it.

Success is a journey, not a destination.

Friends are like flowers

Friends are like flowers

They add colour to your life

They spread fragrance

They wipe your tears

They make you laugh

They are always there

When you need them

When you are down

They give you support

And let you up

When you are up

They rejoice with joy

Think of them

They may not tell you

When they need you

Do you act along

Even if you don't

They never blame you

Because they are your true friends

They see only the good in you

They love you the way you are

They think of you a lot

They fight for you

They give you special place in their heart

and they know very well

that they wouldn't survive without you nearby

Take some time

Take some time to hear the birds sing
As they usher in the dawn.
Though the day will just be emerging,
Too soon it will be gone.

Take some time to watch a sunrise
Now and then a sunset too
Just be sure that seeking pleasure
Isn't all that you even do.

Take some time to count your blessings
Though you feel they're not that great.
You will find they're more abundant
Than you thought, at any rate.

Take some time to banish hatred
When and where you can.
Just detest man's evil ways
And not your fellow man.

Take some time to love your children
Every moment you are free.
The benefits exceedeth
A university degree.

Take some time to love your neighbour
And even more important still,
Take some time to love yourself
On not many others will.

And if you don't like that image
Of yourself that others see,
Take some time to make some changes,
Be the best that you can be.

Take some time to help another
Who you will need a hand.
You will find the satisfaction
Leave you feeling sort of grand.

Take some time to live in virtue
In the best way that is known.
And respect the rights of others
As equal to your own.

Take some time to just appreciate
The fact that you are here,
And to that higher power
And to trust it without fear.

If you do these things with diligence
You will eventually be glad
If you don't attempt to do them,
You may one day wish you had.

Although this no doubt could impose
Upon your time for seeking wealth,
There should be little question
That it could improve your health.

This is how we miss out something called LIFE

A boy was born to a couple after eleven years of marriage. They were a loving couple and the boy was the gem of their eyes. When the boy was around two years old, one morning the husband saw a medicine bottle open. He was late for office so he asked his wife to cap the bottle and keep it in the cupboard. His wife, preoccupied in the kitchen totally forgot the matter. The boy saw the bottle and playfully went to get the bottle, fascinated by its colour and drank it all. It happened to be a poisonous medicine meant for adults in small dosages. When the child collapsed his mother hurried him to the hospital, where he died. The mother was stunned. She was terrified how to face her husband. When the distraught father came to the hospital and saw the dead child, he looked at his wife and uttered just five words.

The husband just said, 'I am with you darling.'

The husband's totally unexpexcted reaction is a proactive behaviour. The child is dead. He can never be brought back to life. There is no point in finding fault with the mother. Besides, if only he had taken time to keep the bottle away, this would not have happened. No one is to be blamed. She had also lost her only child. What she needed at that moment was consolation and sympathy from the husband. That is what he gave her.

If everyone can look atl life with this kind of perspective, there would be much fewer problems in the world. "A journey of a thousand miles beginswith a single step." Take off all your envy jealousy unforgiveness, selfishness and fears. And you will find things are actually not as difficult as you think.

Moral of the story: Sometimes we spend time in asking who is responsible or who to be blamed, whether in a relationship, in a job or with the people we know. By this way we miss out something called LIFE.

Why do we need friends?

We need friends for many reasons,
all throughout the four seasons.

We need friends to comfort us when we are sad,
and to have fun with us when we are glad.

We need friends to give us good advice.
We need someone we can count on to treat us nice.

We need friends because we are social in nature
and having friends makes us feel secure.

We need friends to remember us once we have passed
sharing memories that will always last.

Don't forget

Forget about the days when you've been lonely,
but don't forget the friendly smiles you've seen.

Forget about the days when it has been cloudy,
but don't forget your hour in the sun.

Forget about the time when you've been defeated,
but don't forget the victories you've won.

Forget about misfortunes which you encountered,
but don't forget the times your luck has turned.

Forget about msitakes that you can't change,
but don't forget the lesson that you've learnt.

From Sitian's Friendship Page

Many people will walk in and out of your life.
But only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.
To handle yourself, use your head;
To handle others, use your heart.

Anger is only one letter short of danger
If someone betrays you once, it is his fault;
If he betrays you twice, it is your fault.

Great minds discuss ideas;
Average minds discuss events;
Small minds discuss people.

He, who loses money, loses much;
He, who loses a friend, loses much morel
He, who loses faith, loses all.

Beautiful young people are accidents of nature.
But beautiful old people are works of art.

Learn from the mistakes of others
You can't live long enough to make them all yourself.

Friends, you and me...
You brought another friend...
And then there were 3...
We started our group...
Our circle of friends...
And like that circle...
There is no beginning or end.

Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow is mystery.
Today is a gift.
That is why it is called the present.
